List of Soap Operas and Sitcoms (under construction), Globo Soap Operas

Maria Zilda Bethlem (pictures taken from the Internet) (as "Verônica," with Marieta Severo in Vereda Tropical/Rede Globo, 1984-85);
Nina Hagen's New York/ N.Y., leitmotiv of Verônica (they used the English version) (video was deleted from Youtube);
The heyday of Globo (#tvplimplim) was in the 1980s. Regina Casé and Consuelo Leandro are great actresses (Consuelo Leandro died in 1999). Scenes such as this are politically incorrect, histrionically absurd and at the same time truthful. People from my generation were very influenced by Globo soap operas.
Dina Sfat, Elke Maravilha & Marília Pera in Babenco's Pixote (1981);
Daft Punk's Television Rules the Nation (2001);

"In the paper today tales of war and of waste
But you turn right over to the T.V. page"
Crowded House

"I look at NBC blue, then I turn to another channel and look at the background in a different color and see which way it looks better with the skin tones on the faces."
"... it is your news and they're taken it and selling it as their product. But then they always say that they're helping you, and that's true too, but still, if people didn't give the news their news, and if everybody kept their news to themselves, the news wouldn't have any news."
"Certain people have TV magic: they fall completely apart off-camera but they are completely together on-camera... I never fall apart because I never fall together."
"What I like are things that are different every time... If I ever have to cast an acting role, I want the wrong person for the part... The wrong person looks so right to me."
"When you meet someone you never dreamed you'd meet, you're taken by surprise, so you haven't made up any fantasies and you're not let down."
"... you should always have a product that's not just 'you.' An actress should count up her plays and movies and a model should count up her photographs and a writer should count up his words and an artist should count up his pictures so you always know exactly what you're worth, and you don't get stuck thinking your product is you and your fame, and your aura."
"Right when I was being shot and ever since, I knew that I was watching television. The channels switch, but it's all television."
The Philosophy of Andy Warhol

"The average American spends more time per week watching television than in any other social activity. Pixels dancing on a screen are the central reality. People spend more time gazing at electrons than they do gazing into the eyes of their loved ones, looking into books, scanning other aspects of material reality. Talk about applied metaphysics! Electronic reality is more real than the physical world. This is a profound evolutionary leap. It can be compared to the jump from ocean to the shoreline..."
"Many of the Chinese students [of the Tien An Men Square in June 1989] had seen television coverage of student demonstrations in other countries. When German television stations began transmitting programs from the West, the Berlin Wall was on its way down."
Timothy Leary, Chaos & Cyberculture

"Energy is wasted on the wrong work of center; on unnecessary tension of the muscles out of all proportion to the work produced, on perpetual chatter which absorbs an enourmous amount of energy..."
Ouspensky

Televisão (Titãs 1985):
"A televisão me deixou burro, muito burro demais
Agora todas coisas que eu penso me parecem iguais
A luz do sol me incomoda, entao deixa a cortina fechada
